In the event that Canada Post goes on strike, Alberta Benefits and its partner Canadian Benefit Providers are prepared to resolve delays to mailed claims and cheques.
How to make a claim
In the case of most pharmacy and dental services, claims and automatic payment can be made with your benefit card. If a paper or email claim is required, fill out our claim form and submit to . Alternatively, claims can be dropped off at our Edmonton office or faxed.
How to receive payment for a paper or email claim
If you haven't already, sign-up for electronic fund transfer by filling out the EFT form here for submission to firstname.lastname@example.org . Until such time that the Canada Post strike is resolved, all payments will be made by EFT transfer. Cheques can also be picked-up at our offices in Edmonton.
Please note that our paper and email claims processing time is 5-8 business days.
